Zwetschgenwiese
Fringed by dense shrubs, the meadow blends into the landscape along its entire length between two fields. Your cabin is located in the middle of numerous fruit tree rows, which you can spot not only from the terrace, but also through one of the many windows. Watch the deer scampering across the grass at dawn, take a walk to the small post mill at the other end of the meadow, or go for a trip to the nice café located at the castle park nearby.

The Surroundings
Between Berlin and Hamburg, you'll find yourself in a beautiful region, framed by a larger river and surrounded by unspoiled nature reserves. Discover numerous medieval Hanseatic towns and stroll through their picturesque historic centers with centuries-old churches. Close to your cabin there is a swimming lake where you can take a leisurely walk or taste the freshly caught fish. With its miles of bridle paths, the area also invites you to explore it on horseback. There are many farms in the area where you can get information about horseback riding.
Design
In this cabin you will find an open living space, so that you can see through the cabin thanks to the large windows, light comes in from all sides and especially the bed gets its own cozy niche. The equipment includes a long counter, which is directly connected to the kitchen set. With the beautiful view, you will hopefully not only enjoy your breakfast here, but also find a place to pop open your laptop if you want to. Maybe the view will even inspire you to start a new project.
To sink into a good book, you can choose either the bed or the comfortable armchair, and if the sun is shining, enjoy the vast vistas with the front doors wide open. We've also provided a record player that comes with a curated selection of music. We're sure you will find the perfect soundtrack for a summer barbecue afternoon, just as you would for a rainy autumn morning. We encourage you to sing along.
The Facilities
Electricity
Zwetschgenwiese is solar powered but also connected to a backup main power supply. As ever, we encourage our guests to be mindful of their power consumption.
HEATING
The cabin is insulated and equipped with a wood stove to make your stay extra warm and cozy. We provide you with wood, kindling, lighter and a little guide so you can spark a crackling fire.
Water
This location is connected to the local water supply, which means the water comes directly from the tap. To conserve this precious resource, we have installed environmentally friendly dry toilets in all of our cabins. Please always try to save water as best as you can.

Book a Farm Tour
Farm life knows its own pace. With a focus on the animals, the local nature and the cultivation of the fields, a natural rhythm emerges depending on the season and the course of the day, which redefines the speed of time spans like 9-5 and 24/7. As you immerse yourself in the bustle of the farm, you may even feel yourself slowing down a bit – even though the hours fly by as you care for the animals or take a moment to watch the bees and butterflies in one of the flowering meadows.
That's what our Farm Tour is all about, offered in partnership with a farm close to your cabin. The farm has been in operation since the 14th century, is family owned, and takes a multi-generational approach. On a guided farm tour, you'll learn about the operations and work on site and get to participate yourself: milking the cows and feeding the calves, bringing the horses from the pasture to the barn, or caring for the alpacas. The visit lasts about two hours and we’ll share further information in the booking process.

Cabins with all the essentials you need to live comfortably in nature.
At each location we place smart, sustainable cabins that have a bed, a shower, toilet, electricity, running water and a kitchen with all the appliances – just bring the ingredients.
