Declaration on accessibility

This declaration on accessibility applies to raus.life

Conformity status and applied standards

Our website is designed to be largely accessible. We endeavour to meet the requirements of EU Directive 2016/2102 on accessibility. The technical implementation of our content is carried out in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

The assessment of accessibility was carried out by means of a self-assessment. This declaration was last updated on 25 June 2025 and the last comprehensive test of the website was carried out on 27 May 2025. An automatic testing tool was used in combination with manual tests.

Non-accessible content

Despite our efforts, there may still be areas that are not completely barrier-free. Here we list the deficiencies known to us and, if available, provide a timetable for their rectification or alternative access options:

  • Navigation on our site: currently missing helpful skip links (‘Skip to content’)
  • Alternative contact options: Currently we only offer e-mail and chatbot as contact options
  • Zoom of 200%: When the main menu is open, the menu is neither completely visible nor is it possible to scroll through the menu
  • Used Font: Serif fonts are sometimes used on our website
  • Contrast: Two of the colour combinations we use in the CI do not meet the legal requirements of 4.5:1
  • Meaningful link texts: Some link texts are generic and do not clearly indicate where the link leads to
  • Aria label: No aria label attributes are currently used on the website for interactive elements such as buttons without visible text, icons (e.g. social media icons), navigation elements or form fields
  • Image descriptions: Around 21% of the stored image files are currently still missing an alt attribute
  • Touch targets: There are isolated smaller elements (such as icons or links in texts) that are smaller than the specified minimum size

Timeline for rectification

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website and to rectify all identified shortcomings as quickly as possible. Our goal is to implement the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA in the best possible way by the end of 2025. Until then, we will carry out regular tests to check our content for accessibility issues and make gradual improvements.
