In late summer, goats and cows graze here, in winter, the slope is perfect for sledding. You can also enjoy the view of the valley and the landscape criss-crossed by mountains during a hike on the trails around this location. Just behind your cabin is a nature fence and lush bushes filled with forest and meadow life, so you can take your natural history knowledge to the next level while watching the birds, rabbits and squirrels!

The Surroundings
You'll find yourself in a secluded spot in the middle of a low mountain range, which you can explore on the many hiking trails around your cabin. This location is also the ideal starting point for the region's most popular destinations: climb one of the legendary mountains, get a bird's eye view of the landscape with a paragliding lesson or a glider flight, or visit the small farm with animals close by. And if you do miss the hustle and bustle: There is a pretty town not too far away by car. However, you can also find shopping facilities in the small surrounding villages.

Your cabin is powered by solar energy. We encourage our guests to be mindful of their power consumption.
HEATING
The cabin is insulated and equipped with a wood stove to make your stay extra warm and cozy. We provide you with wood, kindling, lighter and a little guide so you can spark a crackling fire. As Wiesenhang is an off-grid location, there is no additional heating. If you are planning to stay here during the colder months, enjoying some foggy mornings or the snowy landscape, please also make sure to pack enough warm clothing as it can get a little colder out there.
Water
This location has fresh water provided, coming from a tank equipped with a water filter system so that you can drink it. Depending on the length of your stay the tank will be refilled halfway through. Nevertheless, we want to encourage you to be extra mindful in terms of water usage. The water level will be displayed in your cabin.
Getting There
The fastest connection by train and bus takes you from Frankfurt Central Station in 0:50 h to the nearest train station. From there, a 20-minute bus ride leads you to the nearest bus stop, from where you can reach the cabins in a few minutes by taxi and a short walk. If you bring your bike along, you also can cycle the last stretch and already take in some of the scenery. By car you will reach your cabin in about 1:15 h from Frankfurt.
