Waldlichtung
Located on a lush patch of green meadow in the forest, this site truly captures the feeling of being away from it all. From your cabin you have a 360° view of tall pine trees surrounding the spacious forest opening. The panoramic view opens up to the thick of the trees while from the terrace your view stretches all the way over the clearing with rows and rows of fir trees to your side. As this is one of the more secluded locations, the closest neighbor you might come across is a small organic farm and of course their fluffy highland cattle.

The Surroundings
At this location, there's something to explore and discover in each direction. A nature reserve nearby lets you experience pristine nature in all its forms, from rare wildlife to clear blue swimming lakes, while just a short drive you’ll come across a small resort town with culinary and recreational offers. Vast forest and fields stretch out all around your cabin, inviting you to hike, swim and explore the numerous farm shops.
Nearby you'll also find our location Waldrand. In case you're planning a getaway with your family or friends, you can spend your stay here together as both cabins aren’t too far from each other.
Sauna on site
For us, it’s all about your wellbeing and comfort . This is why we have created a small space for you at our location Waldlichtung to let go of whatever you're carrying around with you (clothes included), to release and relax even more: our snugly Raus sauna. Heat the wood stove, make a fragrant infusion and wrap your body and thoughts in the comforting warmth while enjoying the view over the clearing. You can easily add the sauna as an extra to your stay throughout the booking process.
The Facilities
Electricity
Waldlichtung is powered by the solar panels on the roof. As ever, we encourage our guests to be mindful of their power consumption.
HEATING
The cabin is insulated and equipped with a wood stove to make your stay extra warm and cozy. We provide you with wood, kindling, lighter and a little guide so you can spark a crackling fire. There is no additional heating. If you are planning to stay here during the colder months, enjoying some foggy mornings or the snowy landscape, please also make sure to pack enough warm clothing as it can get a little colder out there.
Water
This location has fresh water provided, which means you can use a bit more than at other locations to shower etc. While you don’t need to fear running out of water, do be conscious of how much you are using.
Getting There
This location can be reached by car within 1:15h from central Berlin. The last kilometer passes a rather bumpy field path, so make sure you are comfortable driving on unpaved roads and to choose a suitable car. A quick 45 min train ride from Berlin central station takes you to the closest train station. From here, you can either (during the week) take a bus and hike the last stretch or go by taxi in a few minutes.
