At this location you will find yourself a little secluded in the midst of a generous pasture landscape. From your cabin your panoramic view stretches out over the horse paddock into the distance – and if you're lucky, the four-legged friends will curiously drop by your front door now and then. When you open the window of your cabin in the morning, you will also notice the scent of the evergreen spruces, because right behind your cabin there is a small forest: in summer, the trees provide cooling shade, and in winter, covered in frost, they appear almost fairytale-like.

The Surroundings
After only a short drive from Hamburg, you will find yourself on the edge of an extensive moor and heath landscape, which you can explore both while walking on the many hiking trails and during an extended bicycle tour. In the surrounding area there are numerous romantic farms to discover, some of which date back to the last century and are adorned with beautiful stone facades.

Electricity
Your cabin is powered by the solar panels on the roof only. Please be extra attentive in terms of energy consumption.
HEATING
The cabin is insulated and equipped with a wood stove to make your stay extra warm and cozy. We provide you with wood, kindling, lighter and a little guide so you can spark a crackling fire. As Pferdeweide is an off-grid location, there is no additional heating. If you are planning to stay here during the colder months, enjoying some foggy mornings or the snowy landscape, please also make sure to pack enough warm clothing as it can get a little colder out there.
Water
This location has fresh water provided, coming from a tank equipped with a water filter system so that you can drink it. Depending on the length of your stay the tank will be refilled halfway through. Nevertheless, we want to encourage you to be extra mindful in terms of water usage. The water level will be displayed in your cabin.
Getting There
From Hamburg Central Station, the fastest connection will take you to the station in 1:15 hours (including one change). From the train station you can reach the cabin by cab in a few minutes. If you bring your bike along, you also can cycle from the train station within a short bike ride and already take in some of the scenery. By car you will reach your cabin in about 0:45 h from Hamburg.

So you don’t have to think about anything else and just easily whip up a delicious meal.
