Lodge am Pferdehof

Our Lodge am Pferdehof is a retreat featuring four cabins and a shared communal space. Set on a horse farm, two of the cabins open directly onto a tranquil forest of spruce, fir, and oak trees, while the other two are nestled alongside the farm’s horse paddocks. From your terrace, you can watch the sunlight filter through the treetops as horses wander peacefully across the meadows.

Equipment

In our cabins, you'll find everything essential for your stay in nature. The cabin is equipped with a wood stove, cosy blankets, a hot water bottle, and tea to keep you warm even on colder days. We recommend packing warm clothing like snug socks, thick sweaters, and a raincoat for rainy days. Additionally, please remember to bring sturdy footwear and rubber boots, as the meadows and fields around can be damp and muddy during the cooler months. Uwe is your local host and lives and works at the horse farm that surrounds the Cabins. The farm is not a traditional riding stable, but a place for Natural Horsemanship – shaped by clear communication, trust, and a genuine connection between humans and horses. At its core is a respectful, equal relationship in which horses are understood as partners. This mindset also defines the atmosphere of the place, creating space for new perspectives and meaningful encounters with the animals. Uwe supports the location with his experience and likes to share insights into his work.
