Lisa shares: About a vacation together
“In spring, at Gemüsehof, I accidentally left my sleepwear under the pillow. Since it was a negligee and a robe made from silk, I contacted the farm owner. Poor Wolfgang had to send a package with my sexy clothes via post. Since then, we always double-check everything before leaving the cabins :)” – Lisa Meßmer (@khaleezi_)

A vacation for couples who just need to escape
A vacation together in nature is the perfect excuse (or rather, the perfect opportunity) to finally spend uninterrupted time as a couple. No noise, no calendar, no “I just need to quickly …”. Instead: the sound of the forest, starry skies, and maybe even the prettiest negligee in your bag.
Lisa and her partner experienced it in their own way – with humor, calm, and a healthy dose of self-irony. Perhaps that’s exactly what makes a vacation as a couple so special: nothing has to be perfect for you to reconnect. Even forgotten laundry can become a story you laugh about for years.
It’s about moments that linger: a leisurely breakfast together or the kind of silence that still feels familiar. These small, simple experiences are what make a vacation as a couple truly memorable – and remind you why you found each other in the first place.

A vacation together means time for each other again
Having time for each other as a couple sounds simple, but honestly, it’s often the first thing that slips away in daily life. Between work, appointments, WhatsApp groups, and the thousand little things that “need to be done quickly,” there’s rarely room for genuine closeness.
Studies show that shared time is the foundation of a happy relationship for many couples. And no, that doesn’t mean sitting next to each other on the couch, staring at your phones, and scrolling through Netflix. Real togetherness feels different. It starts when you lift your head, put the phone down, and really look at each other.
It happens when you stay curious: about your partner, the silence in between, the stories you’ve heard a hundred times but still love to revisit. It happens when you try something new together or simply do nothing at all. Sometimes, all it takes is a short vacation as a couple in the green outdoors to make it happen.

Three Questions for Lisa:
1. Was there a moment during your couples’ getaway that really stuck with you?
Ending the day together under the full moon and starry sky in the heated outdoor bathtub. Simply a 12/10 moment!
2. What makes a couples’ vacation especially relaxing and beautiful for you?
Not having any time pressure. Consciously taking in nature. Focusing on what truly matters and on being present with each other.
3. What would you tell couples who have never taken a getaway together before?
Definitely pick a date intentionally—and book it. No matter the weather or circumstances, just go because it’s set. The value and enrichment you get from it in the end are truly priceless!
