Located on an evergreen island between tall pines, the sky stretches far over the small hill and the adjacent farmland. In summer, the fields around you are in bloom; in winter, the landscape almost looks like inside a snow globe. Roam through the adjacent woods and heaths – or explore the surroundings on a walk with some curious four-legged friends from the neighboring farm.

The Surroundings
This stay promises untainted nature in all directions and numerous options for activities. The sparsely populated area is covered by endless forests, heathlands and riversides inviting you to explore the depths of the woods, stroll along colorful fields and clear riversides. Near your cabin, a farm and its four-legged residents await you, with whom you can explore the area on a hike. For day trips, also one of the many bike paths through the idyllic landscape is also a good choice.

Electricity
Waldinsel is powered by the solar panels on the roof only. Please be extra attentive in terms of energy consumption.
HEATING
The cabin is insulated and equipped with a wood stove to make your stay extra warm and cozy. We provide you with wood, kindling, lighter and a little guide so you can spark a crackling fire. As Waldinsel is an off-grid location, there is no additional heating. If you are planning to stay here during the colder months, enjoying some foggy mornings or the snowy landscape, please also make sure to pack enough warm clothing as it can get a little colder out there.
Water
This location has fresh water provided, coming from a tank equipped with a water filter system so that you can drink it. Depending on the length of your stay the tank will be refilled halfway through. Nevertheless, we want to encourage you to be extra mindful in terms of water usage. The water level will be displayed in your cabin.
Getting There
Waldinsel is about 1:30 h by car from Berlin-Mitte. Alternatively, you can reach the cabin by train. The fastest connection takes you from Berlin Central Station to the closest train station within 1:20 h. From the train station you can take a cab or alternatively reach the cabin in about 30 minutes by bus followed by a ten-minute walk.
Food & Activities
