Nestled under the canopy of yew and plane trees and surrounded by wild jasmine, you’ll find yourself on the grounds of a small 13th century castle. Horses have been kept here since time immemorial and you're sure to encounter them as soon as you set out on an exploration of the historic stables or paddocks. Take a horseback ride along the surrounding cornfields, visit one of the region's many lakes, or simply listen to the melodies of birds perched in the treetops.

Both cabins are located just a few steps from the paddock in front of dense bushes and shrubs under tall plane and yew trees. You can reach the other cabin in a few minutes on foot, after just a short walk through the castle park.

Our cabins are 16 square meters in size. In addition to an open living or dining area with wood stove, there is a separate bathroom with shower and sustainable dry toilet.

The Surroundings
A touch of history, pristine scenery and clear waters – all this is offered by the near and far surroundings around the beautiful park where the two cabins are located. In addition to the horses, dogs, and chickens on site, you'll likely encounter some forest and field inhabitants that make their home among the trees on the spacious grounds. In the summer, you can taste the fruits and vegetables from the castle garden or swim in a different lake every day. Are you drawn to the beach? Then cycle to the Baltic Sea and plan a day trip there to let the wind blow around your nose.
The Facilities
Electricity
Your cabin is powered by solar energy. We encourage our guests to be mindful of their power consumption.
HEATING
The cabin is insulated and equipped with a wood stove to make your stay extra warm and cozy. We provide you with wood, kindling, lighter, and a little guide so you can spark a crackling fire. In addition, there’s floor heating installed.
Water
This location has fresh water provided, coming from a tank equipped with a water filter system so that you can drink it. Depending on the length of your stay the tank will be refilled halfway through. Nevertheless, we want to encourage you to be extra mindful in terms of water usage. The water level will be displayed in your cabin.
Getting There
The fastest connection by train takes you from Hamburg Central Station to the nearest train station in about 1:00 h. From the station you can reach the cabins by cab within a few minutes. If you bring your bike along, you also can cycle the last stretch and already take in some of the scenery. By car you will reach your cabin from Hamburg in about 1:15 h. From Berlin-Mitte, the journey takes 2:30 h.
