Surrounded by tall trees, this site with two cabins is nestled between sprawling fields and in close proximity to several small farms. A flock of sheep, belonging to the neighboring organic farm, roams through the tall grass now and then. Find a place to read in one of the remote corners or make yourself comfortable under one of the fruit trees. Take a bike ride, visit a café or stroll through a farm store to sample regional delicacies.

The Surroundings
You will find yourself in a beautiful region, which offers peace and relaxation as well as numerous opportunities for activities. The sparsely populated area includes untouched nature, there are some small villages with historical buildings and many culinary offers from regional cultivation. If you’re up for sporting activities you can explore the region's waters on a canoe trip, while for leisurely days, homemade cakes await you in one of the tranquil cafes nearby. Just a short drive away is also a nature park with a swimming lake and numerous hiking trails, perfect for practicing escapism with all your senses.
The Facilities
Electricity
Heuwiese is powered by the solar panels on the roof only. Please be extra attentive in terms of energy consumption.
HEATING
The cabin is insulated and equipped with a wood stove to make your stay extra warm and cozy. We provide you with wood, kindling, lighter and a little guide so you can spark a crackling fire. As Heuwiese is an off-grid location, there is no additional heating. If you are planning to stay here during the colder months, enjoying some foggy mornings or the snowy landscape, please also make sure to pack enough warm clothing as it can get a little colder out there.
Water
This location has fresh water provided, coming from a tank equipped with a water filter system so that you can drink it. Depending on the length of your stay the tank will be refilled halfway through. Nevertheless, we want to encourage you to be extra mindful in terms of water usage. The water level will be displayed in your cabin.
Getting There
The fastest connection by train takes you from Berlin Central Station in 1:15 h to the nearest station (including one change). From the train station you can reach the cabin by cab in a few minutes or take the bus to the nearest stop and walk the last stretch of 20 minutes. If you bring your bike along, you also can cycle from the train station and already take in some of the scenery. By car you will reach your cabin in about 1:40 h from Berlin-Mitte.

Getting out into nature with Raus also means having the chance to see many more stars than in the city. Because with all its lights, we often tend to draw our gaze away from the sky. To fully immerse yourself into the vastness of the universe, you can add our VISIT DARK SKIES® x Raus Stargazing Experience to your stay. During this guided audio experience, you'll learn about Cassiopeia and Polaris and be introduced to the technique of peripheral vision. This practice lets you perceive the starry sky in a completely different way, has a relaxing effect, and supports you in gaining distance from everyday life. You can either download the audio experience and find a spot around your cabin with a clear view of the evening sky or alternatively play the audio file via the Bluetooth box in your cabin to watch the starry sky through the windows directly next to your bed.
